Zombie Self-Portrait Thingamabobs

I drew these, and a few more, last night in about an hour. Just for fun. It started as a personal logo exercise and ended up being a series of cartoony self portraits where I reminded myself that there’s an endless variety to the ways we can approach an assignment or character design. (There’s more than one way to skin a fat, bald, zombified illustrator with a penchant for the macabre.)

Hey Ray,
How’s it going mate? These are awesome, I personally like 1st row-2nd last, very cool voodoo based villain. Also, 2nd row-1st character is sweet. Ahh, all these are actually sweeter the more I look at it.
Ok, just curious, can you post about your daily routine? Inclusive of internet usage and so forth. I want to do a comparison, so to speak, and see if I’m working hard enough.

These are utterly fantastic.
You’ve reminded me it’s not just about detail and getting amazingly good at drawing what I see.
It’s about design, character and style too.

It looks almost like you drew 1/2 of them and then mirrored them to make the other side of each face. That is some talent to draw it that symmetrical!!
btw- love the Frenden texture pack in MC. Crossing my fingers there will be an update for the new patch.
