Hi, amazing work
I noticed when you were working you were able to turn the paper around so that you could control your line stokes better.
I can't figure out how to do that. Is that a plug in?

This video was actually real time. :)

I am opting to keep it real time but use editing rather than one, long cut. I will definitely deal with a lot of the topics you mention. Thanks for bringing them up. Expect to see a lineart centric episode this or next week!

Great video Ray! I'll definitely be trying that retro comic-book coloring.
Hmmm, what would be cool to see in future episodes?
Maybe the way you approach inking different kinds of lines: rectilinear vs organic, long lines vs small details, outlines vs volumetric halftones, independent lines vs lines that intersect, etc...
Also would it be possible for you to record your voice while you are actually working? While the double-speed has it's place I think real-time would be even more illuminating. Of course the resulting video would probably be longer and less succinct but I think it would be more useful to the audience.

Oops! I forgot to turn on "notify by email when comments appear." I didn't even notice therese were here. I'll be prompter in the future.

Forbes, you can get the debut version, not EX, on the cheap. It just loses some comic centric features.

Eric, I definitely plan on regular updates, video and otherwise.

jon, deem, okay! No more slackin'! Heh.

OK, sorry about that, I tried to leave a comment before and didn't see it show up. Something must've gone wrong on my end.

@Ray, I dig the blog design - I'm a fan of minimalism for stuff like this. As much as I liked the comic cover design you were working on, it was definitely a good call to choose something that wouldn't compete with your illos.

@Forbes - it's <a href="http://www.e-frontier.com/article/articleview/1697/1/705?sbss=705" rel="nofollow">Manga Studio 3 EX</a>.

Duder I'm digging the new bloggity blog, congratulatory remarks unto you!

I haven't watched the video yet, I'm loser. That's sweet if you keep it up though and do a rad iTunes podcast out of it, you'll be the most famous person ever.

I need to draw again, I've been slackin to the max!

I enjoyed the vid. I love the way you can experiment with colour combinations to your heart's content when you work digitally. What was the name of the software you use first? I can't seem to find it on the web.
